Steps carried out prior to applying coatings are as follows:
Car is covered in a pre wash foam to soften dirt and contaminants then thoroughly rinsed
Car then re foamed to commence gentle and safe hand wash then rinsed again
Paint is then treated for any remaining contamination ie Iron, tar, minerals etc
Paint may then be lightly polished to remove any minor swirls, scratches and imperfections
Paint is then given a treatment to clean any remaining polishing oils
Coating is then applied

Coating maintenance
Although your car will be much easier to keep clean, you should still wash it regularly and have decontamination treatments at least 6 monthly to keep the coating working and looking its best. Without proper maintenance your coating can get clogged with contaminants and the hydrophobic effects may start to reduce, but this can be rectified by using the right washing techniques and products.
Water spots can be an issue for non coated and coated cars. Allowing water to dry on the car naturally, may lead to water spots. It is important to regularly wash and dry your car to minimise this. Please feel free to ask any questions about this.
